In the night,
the world can feel so dull.
When all that surrounds you is black.
You try and find a ray of light,
but it won't come out enough.
The sunless night,
can make you feel so alone.
The night noises frighten you.
The thunder and lightening,
is enough to give you the chills.
But when you are here with me,
I yet to feel any of this.
With your fingers entwined in mine,
I know I can rest in peace.
With your arms wrapped around me,
I feel the rays of light.
The thunder and lightening excite me,
when your beside me.
The room feels full of light,
even in the pitch-dark.
In the moment of excitement,
your lips touch mine,
and I can feel the electricity
running through my body.
